It may be (really) cold outside but SEE Change’s 5th Year Anniversary got off to a sizzling start thanks to our Food Security event on Feb 3. From the eloquent expert panel to the engaged and inquisitive audience who packed the room at Toronto’s Centre for Social Innovation and the delectable edibles sponsored by Whole Foods Market, the evening offered a powerful forum for discourse on an important issue.

Thanks to our amazing panelists and attendees who helped make it a success!

Our expert panel: Debbie Field of FoodShare, Michael Sacco of ChocoSol, Vanessa Ling Yu of caterToronto and Leticia Boahen of Black Creek Community Farm speak with SEE Change editor and publisher, Elisa Birnbaum, who moderated an insightful and compelling discussion on food security.

The changemakers shared their efforts and challenges in establishing sustainable food systems, educating farmers, influencing policy and promoting healthier diets. An engaging audience discussion followed.
