VegTO, the leading resource for all things vegan in Toronto, is taking over Toronto City Hall this weekend. This vibrant vegan festival will take place at Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10th, 2023 from 11:00AM to 6:00PM. Admission is free and everyone is welcome!

With over 100 exhibitors showcasing new vegan retail foods, makeup, and desserts, along with non-profits and plenty of food to eat on site, the festival’s anticipated audience of 30,000 attendees will be able to check out the best of all things vegan. Plus, with two programming space, there will be 20+ hours of talks and entertainment daily, with something for everyone.

For 38 years, VegTO Fest (formerly known as Veg Food Fest), has been a celebration of all things vegan. Created as a catalyst for positive change, this event aims to inspire, educate, and engage the community in embracing a vegan lifestyle. What remains constant year-over-year is the sense of belonging the festival fosters, the tradition of accessibility and zero-cost entry, and a commitment to supporting a flourishing, plant-powered ecosystem in the region.

“We are honoured to bring back VegTO Fest to the heart of Toronto,” said Kimberly D’Oliveira, Executive Director at VegTO. “This festival allows everyone who has ‘heard about this vegan thing’ to follow their curiosity and try something new – new food, new ideas, new local businesses – and it’s these positive experiences that plant the seeds of a new way of thinking about going vegan that makes it feel like it’s within reach.”

This year’s festival is proudly sponsored by Odd Burger Fast Food (debuting their new retail line at this year’s festival!), Nongshim (debuting their new Vegan Curry Noodles!), VegeCert (VegTO’s trusted vegan product certifier), and Sweets from the Earth (powering our volunteers!).
