Welcome to In the Business of Change, where we speak with social entrepreneurs impacting their communities and the world. I’m your host Elisa Birnbaum publisher and editor in chief of SEE Change Magazine.

As part of our ongoing series on changemakers using innovative tools to tackle homelessness – a particularly timely topic as the holiday season approaches and COVID marches on – on today’s episode we speak with Michael Braithwaite, CEO of Blue Door.

In our conversation Michael shares his frustration with the intractable issue of homelessness in Toronto and the work Blue Door is doing to alleviate the struggle. Michael then explains why he launched a social enterprise (Construct) and how the innovative approach can give people the tools they need to build a more sustainable future.
